Description

Responsible for both the creation and execution of a Digital Propositions capability at EDF Energy, the Digital Propositions Manager role will require a well-balanced mix of solid Digital Propositions experience (planning and execution across all stages of the channel lifetime and all areas of Web and Creative production and reporting), leadership, analytical and influencing skills aligned to a very strong commercial sense. Frequently presenting Digital Propositions strategy and results at executive forums, the job holder will need to be comfortable at all levels of the organisation and have the ability to communicate clearly and compellingly on a range of complex issues.

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital, the Digital Propositions Manager will need to be an expert point of reference on all aspects of Digital Propositions, summarise and report directly to Senior Management and stand in for the Head of Digital at relevant meetings. There may also be times where the Digital Propositions Manager will need to represent the company at external forums. The Digital Propositions Manager will have responsibility for the quality and performance of all Digital Propositions activity as well as the accuracy of Digital Propositions reporting.

The Digital Propositions Manager will hold primary responsibility for Digital Propositions budget and resource allocation in order to deliver all of EDF Energy’s Digital business objectives.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience of working in an Ecommerce or Digital Propositions/Production team or Agency for a major consumer Ecommerce brand with >1m plus customers >£1m budget
• A strong strategic thinker who is highly numerate and analytical with a proven track record of commercial acumen
• An education to degree standard is also required or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment
• Professional qualification in Digital Project Management, Digital Propositions, Design,
Ecommerce, Marketing, User Experience, Digital Production, Digital related disciplines
• Familiarity with principles and processes associated with generating visits, engagement, sales, retention, customer development, profitability and all key Digital Propositions objectives, with a strong sense for cost and resource options for all channel structures, merchandising and conversion methods and underlying technological and reporting requirements
• Experience of managing Digital projects, specialists and a roster of Digital agencies and IT suppliers to provide consistently high-quality Digital Propositions
• High level of business and market awareness
• Strong track record of providing Digital Propositions results through the aggregation of
disparate Digital Propositions/Production activity
• Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Experience in producing executive summary reports and giving presentations to most Senior levels of management
• An ability to carry out situation, option and impact assessments and performance reviews
• Excellent problem solving skills and a commercial focus
• Adaptable, with experience of multi-tasking and working at own initiative to deliver tasks on time, budget and target
